Byron Bullock has been working in audio for over eight years. Before this he studied at the London College of Music and Media, where he completed a BA Hons degree in Music Technology. He started his audio career in the broadcast industry where he worked as a location sound recordist for numerous UK broadcasters such as the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, MTV, Sky and more. His list of credits cover popular daytime television programs like Celebrity Cash In The Attic and How To Look Good Naked, live news coverage for the BBC, documentaries and commercials. Byron’s interest soon turned to post-production where he started working freelance on trailers, films and television shows.
His first flurry into game audio came in 2009 with the opportunity to work on the popular Need For Speed franchise and his first title Hot Pursuit won a BAFTA for Best Multiplayer – he’s been hooked on interactive audio ever since… After releasing 3 Need For Speed titles at EA, Byron moved to Creative Assembly as Senior Sound Designer where his work on the critically acclaimed Alien Isolation won numerous awards, most noticeably a BAFTA for Audio Achievement.
Byron continues to work at the Creative Assembly where he seeks to push the boundaries of interactive audio on their latest Total War title Warhammer.
